Retirement:
Retiring members shall receive a gift at the Local General Meeting closest to their retirement date.

DECE Awards:
WRDECE Local Awards shall be presented to identified recipients at the Annual Local General Meeting each year. The President’s Award will be awarded at the same meeting.

Service Certificates:
Certificates will be presented to members at the Fall Local General Meeting, celebrating permanent continuous employment with the WRDSB in five (5) year increments, starting with five (5) years of service.

Terms of Reference 2025-2026
The All Member/Social Committee shall work under the following specific terms of reference:
• Advise the Executive and recommend strategies which support, educate, familiarize and engage members new to the role of a Designated Early Childhood Educator. This may include, and is not limited to, the role of the union, and their role and responsibilities as members of the WRDECE Local.
• Advise the Executive and recommend ways to encourage the active participation of members within the Federation, both locally and provincially.
• Select award recipients from nominations received, based on the established criteria and procedures.
• Coordinate an annual open house/meet the Local Executive.
• Enhance collaboration through enjoyable and inclusive opportunities for members through a wide range of events.
• Plan and share events with other committees/programs to enhance opportunities, collaboration, and equity in a social setting.
• Respect and accept feedback from all members, including committee members and members of the Executive, that will benefit participants through social events.
• Endeavour to ensure new members are made aware of and welcomed to, events and happenings within the Local.
• Endeavour to, through a variety of social events, introduce members to the positive aspects of belonging to a union/ETFO.
• Encourage member involvement both Locally and Provincially
The All Member/Social Committee shall also work under the General Terms of Reference as laid out in the WRDECE Local Reference Handbook, as these reflect the fundamental beliefs that guide the actions of the Local.
