• Ensure clear communication between the Federation and the local membership regarding Central Bargaining issues.
• Receive and act upon, as able, recommendations, resolutions, submissions and referrals from the Federation, general membership, Local Executive, and other committees, as applicable.
• President/Lead Negotiator and/or Lead Negotiator Designate shall attend relevant meetings as required (Federation, WRDSB, affiliates).
• Ensure regular and ongoing consultation with Federation CB Liaison.
• Present to the membership, in a similar fashion to the Federation, the overall goals and objectives of the preliminary submission for endorsement, with opportunities for discussion/questions from the membership.
• Present to the membership the changes to the Collective Agreement as a result of negotiations/legislation, for ratification. Ratification shall be held by secret ballot either in person or virtually at the conclusion of the presentation.

The Collective Bargaining Committee shall also work under the General Terms of Reference as laid out in the WRDECE Local Reference Handbook, as these reflect the fundamental beliefs that guide the actions of the Local.
