Terms of Reference 2024-2025

• Provide opportunities enhancing the Status of Women in the education profession and in society.
• Determine the content, delivery, promotion, and design of Status of Women opportunities for the WRDECE Local membership.
• Endeavour to participate/organize action on issues related to the Status of Women.
• Provide outreach to community-based women’s organizations in the Region of Waterloo.
• Ensure the inclusion of women members in all aspects of the WRDECE Local’s organization and programs.
• Provide and promote opportunities for networking, leadership, and professional development for women members of the WRDECE Local.
• Raise awareness about issues that affect women and provide programs and services to meet the specific needs of women members.

The Status of Women Committee shall also work under the General Terms of Reference as laid out in the WRDECE Local Reference Handbook, as these reflect the fundamental beliefs that guide the actions of the Local.
